I was able to boot with the CD with the default GRUB boot option and I was able to boot using NixOS that was installed to the drive. The virtual machine is configured to use a Graphics controller other than the recommended one(VMSVGA). Hello, I've just set up my virtual machine and installed the Guest Additions after inserting the CD image and upon rebooting as per the installer's request, I was met with a whole bunch of graphical glitches. I messed around with the graphics settings, changing the Graphics Controller from VMSVGA to VBoxSVGA fixed both issues.
