I tried to update the driver through Windows Update in device manager, but no dice. The UI in general is not updating correctly when resizing and opening windows.

The virtual machine is configured to use a Graphics controller other than the recommended one(VMSVGA). Hello, I've just set up my virtual machine and installed the Guest Additions after inserting the CD image and upon rebooting as per the installer's request, I was met with a whole bunch of graphical glitches. I messed around with the graphics settings, changing the Graphics Controller from VMSVGA to VBoxSVGA fixed both issues.
